HeliHopper is a helicopter game that involves quite a lot of hopping and an awful lot of crashing. In part, this is probably because helicopters are primarily designed for zooming through the air rather than jumping around like frogs, but there you go.
The aim of HeliHopper is simple: using a basic slingshot mechanism (think Angry Birds), you must direct your helicopter to another landing pad. Depending on the particular level you’re tackling, you might be able to nudge the helicopter mid-flight, collect bling, or complete several painstakingly precise ‘flights’ in a row.

Other games news: A dating app published by Paradox could be the first hint at a new Vampire: The Masquerades – Bloodlines project. A new ‘dating app’, Tender, has appeared over the weekend, and there’s plenty of clues pointing towards the cult vampire game.
Tender is a very creepy take on the dating app game, filled with too many references to souls, pictures of clowns, and blood-type listings to be even remotely alluring. On top of that, Rock, Paper, Shotgun reports metadata about grabbing “a late night bite,” and references to “demonology.”
Now here is something cool. Monster Hunter: World’s Witcher 3 crossover event is live (on consoles, it will be coming to the PC later this year), allowing players to assume the role of Geralt of Rivia and slay some monsters. And if that wasn’t enough, a new mod has surfaced, allowing players to assume the role of Triss Merigold from The Witcher series in order to kill more monsters.
Now as you may have guessed, this is a 3D model replacement mod and nothing more. Contrary to the NieR Automata or the Final Fantasy XV Aranea mod, this mod appears to be closer to the Metroid Prime Samus mod.
Unfortunately, modder ‘crimsonfaust’ has not shared any additional details about this mod or whether there are plans to bring some of Merigold’s magic abilities to Capcom’s monster hunting title.
I had very mixed feelings when Apex Legends was announced. On one hand, Titanfall and its sequel are two of my favorite shooters, offering an incredibly fast, almost balletic sense of movement that made otherwise standard skirmishes feel fresh and alive. The idea of developer Respawn taking that to the battle royale genre and throwing in charming Overwatch-style characters was incredibly exciting. But there was one very particular aspect of the game that made me wary: you can only play it in teams. As someone who spends hours in Fortnite solo and hates the idea of voice chat with strangers, this was an instant turn-off.
But thanks to a handful of incredibly clever design decisions, Apex Legends is the rare team-based shooter where voice chat isn’t a necessity. You can be antisocial and still have a lot of fun.
Apex Legends is set in the Titanfall universe, and it has teams of three battling it out across a war-torn sci-fi landscape to be the last group standing. It’s a class-based game where you pick from a group of heroes, each of which fits snugly into an archetype like “support” or “tank.” They also all have special abilities that charge up over the course of a match. And just like in Fortnite and its contemporaries, the battlefield shrinks as the match goes on, forcing you into close contact with your opponents.
