Can you play it? A lot has happened to Destiny 2 launched in 2017. Three expansions have arrived, with a fourth coming this Fall. Bungie and Activision’s publishing partnership ended earlier than expected, leaving Bungie as the sole owner and publisher of the intergalactic shooter. And through it all, Destiny 2 has evolved to become a better version of itself. It hasn’t always been an easy road for Destiny 2, much like its predecessor, but today it stands as one of the best live service games around. Destiny 2 accommodates all types of players. You can solo through the missions for the story, grind for gear and complete challenging raids with friends, or dedicate your attention to always fun Crucible multiplayer mode. Bungie is always tinkering with the formula, and the result is one of the most polished and endlessly interesting games available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Monster video strain resource game pick of the day : Though this game might not be the most gorgeous thing ever when it comes to basic textures, Metro: Last Light Redux augments the visual experience by adding so many effects into the mix that one can’t help but be impressed. It utilizes some of the best shaders and lighting technology to ever hit gaming, as well as neat immersion-boosters like fog, frost and even condensation, the latter of which forms on your mask as you trek through the game’s world. That sort of technical ingenuity does a great job of enhancing the already-gorgeous experience. This game’s minimum and recommended specs are light, but you can go far with it if your rig sports greater horsepower. I like Star Wars games and usually this games are resource intensive. Just like the movies themselves, sometimes Star Wars sequels can’t quite live up to the hype. Traveller’s Tales had already cranked out three awesome LEGO Star Wars games at this point, so you’d think they could do even more amazing things with a game based on the popular Clone Wars cartoon. And… they sort of did. It’s still fun replaying episodes and collecting thousands of studs, but the baffling inclusion of RTS elements brings this one down a few pegs. The Rogue Squadron pilots are really the unsung heroes of the Star Wars universe, taking down two Death Stars and an army of AT-ATs, and the Rogue Squadron series rightly shines a light on them. A superb set of action-orientated flight sims, Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader was the best of the bunch. Putting you in control of practically every aerial ship at the Rebel Alliance’s disposal (as well as some Easter Egg secret craft) it looked stunning, making clever use of the Nintendo Gamecube hardware. It also had some cracking missions dotted all over the Star Wars universe, including a super-tough level over the mining planet Bespin.
