Online seminary school? Get educated even with a tight budget! Online education helps you to save on costs like fuel, parking, books, child care, and more. And since so many of these programs are self-paced, they can offer you the opportunity to graduate in less time than a traditional program. Less time spent in college equals lower educational costs. Plus, many online degrees have lower tuition fees. Online courses help you become tech-savvy: Distance-learning programs make use of sophisticated technology to provide education. By accessing study material electronically, submitting assignments via websites, and participating on online forums to interact with professors and classmates on a day-to-day basis, you can become more technologically savvy than your classroom counterparts.
Web-based programs geared at primary school students (K-8) typically incorporate a high level of multimedia and interactive activities designed to stimulate learners as they complete their coursework. Many of these programs are targeted at special needs learners, and focus on subjects where children tend to struggle the most, such as the core competencies of reading, writing, and math. A number of these fundamental online tutoring sessions are offered in languages other than English (often in Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese) to help immigrant families.

In a classroom environment, or when finding a face-to-face tutor, it can be hard to find an adult with a real connection with your child. Online, there are more people to choose from, and it greatly increases your chances of finding a tutor who can resonate with your child. Not only does this create camaraderie and trust, but these shared interests can make learning more fun. “I think it’s a great idea for students who need the help and are too scared to ask face to face. This gives them the opportunity to ask without being embarrassed or nervous.” ECU student, WA
WBS offers two types of seminary classes online: forum-based and real-time. Forum-based: Through the use of Populi, our online platform, professors and students learn from lectures, share resources, engage in conversations, and submit assignments. Students have maximum flexibility in these courses to do the work and submit assignments in ways that is most convenient for them. While there are still due dates and high course expectations, students can learn in the way that best fits their schedule. Discover additional information at https://wbs.edu/.
